I’m a sociologist trained at the University of New Brunswick Saint John, an NLP Practitioner, and someone who has spent more than a decade working in vulnerable sectors such as addictions, complex trauma, depression, and intersectional trauma. Much of my early career was spent supporting women experiencing homelessness, instability, and layered adversity.
Before academia, my life was shaped by my own lived experience with crisis, instability, and rebuilding.
That is the history which informs how I work today.
It means I understand what it actually takes to survive difficult circumstances and to choose to change your internal world, not just your environment. You can’t learn that from theory alone.
My academic work deepened that foundation. I spent years researching the impact of unstable housing on mental health and writing policy proposals for government around the rental crisis and its psychological consequences. Along the way, I built a reputation for challenging stigma around mental health and advocating for people whose experiences are often minimized or misunderstood.

My approach is different because we don’t try to “fix” or eliminate your emotions. We work with them. Emotions are not weaknesses; they are information. Together, we use emotional awareness to create clarity, direction, and real change. Vulnerability isn’t something to hide. It’s where transformation actually starts.
Outside of my professional world, I’m currently residing in Phuket, Thailand. I took a big leap moving here with my two dog's, Max and Sam, and I’m most at home when I’m with them. When I’m not, you’ll usually find me in the gym training western boxing. I’m a retired K-1 fighter who stepped away after a knee injury, but combat sport is still a core part of my life. I’m also a proud mum to a grown son, who remains one of the greatest sources of purpose and perspective in my life.
Today, my work blends lived experience, academic training, emotional intelligence, and practical tools.
If you’re ready for honest conversation without judgement, depth without overwhelm, and a grounded space to navigate your next chapter — I’d love to meet you.
